On 28 August, One Child One Family Hope and Homes for Children South Africa (OCOF-HHCSA), in partnership with the Southern African Policy and Development Nexus (SAPDN), hosted the inaugural Deinstitutionalisation Policy Brief Roundtable Discussions in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This event convened a diverse range of voices to address the challenges and lasting impact of institutional care on children. Participants included social workers, community leaders, pastors, children, business leaders, and representatives from NPOs, all united in reflecting on the real challenges children face in institutional settings.
